The campsite beach is at 20 meters front of the main entrance, reachable by crossing the road that connects Fertilia with Alghero.
The wide beach is partly free and partly equipped with umbrellas and sun beds(only rental). You can include them in your booking or you can rent them directly at the reception, even daily. The beach has a kiosk bar open from June to September.

Within the campsite’s beach, we have a reserved and equipped area sand/water for guests with pets.
POSEIDONIA
The beautiful beaches of Alghero can be affected by natural events such as winds and sea currents that cause the Posidonia’s invasion: a marine plant of high importance for the sea and its shores. Poseidonia is part of protected species by national and international standards. Posidonia is typical of the Mediterranean sea and its presence testifies to the high environmental quality of the area. Although at first glance it may appear unpleasant to us when it is dry (it gives off a characteristic odor), posidonia is an endemic marine plant that plays a fundamental role in mitigating the erosion we see on many of the beaches.
Walking along the beach, especially after a storm, you may encounter the Posidonia Oceanica which, contrary to what you think, is not an alga, but a precious plant with a diversified structure, exactly like terrestrial plants, with roots, leaves, flowers and fruits. These plants develop in grasslands that colonize sandy bottoms up to 30-40 meters depth.
The more resistant fibers of the leaves are compacted by the waves and returned to the beach in the form of egagropolis or sea potatoes (better known in Alghero as “buric”).
Why is Posidonia so important for the ecosystem?
– It releases up to 20 liters of oxygen per day for each square meter of vegetation;
– It represents a safe and food-rich place for many fish (including the seahorse), therefore it is a splendid place for snorkelling;
– It prevents coastal erosion through the piles of leaves accumulated on the beach (called banquettes) that protect the coast. This plant therefore allows to save every year meters of beach that would otherwise disappear;
